Day 2 of the Ace Trifecta!

Day 2... wake up in SC and make the 3 hour drive back to Atlanta. Candace and I went to John's friend Tim's house where John was already. We sat around chatting for a couple of hours & looking at pictures. Then it was time to get ready to go to our second concert. This one was an hour away in Duluth {Atlanta area} at Wild Bill's. It's a very nice country dance club like Dallas Bull but WAY bigger! Doors opened at 7 and that is when we arrived. Not sure why Ace Young was at a country bar...

I had previously talked a few times on the phone with Tami, a really nice lady at Wild Bill's and she had us all set up with VIP passes! It was very cool to be hang out with Ace and the band before and after the show!

When Ace first came into the room his hair was wet. I wanted a pic taken with him before his hair dried so I went over and stuck my arm around him for a picture. Then Ace says, " come here John...get in this pic with us!" After the picture was taken I told John I wanted my pic taken with wet hair Ace by myself...he said well I was invited. So I said, I'll just crop you out! LOL So here is my pic with wet hair Ace and then the original with John in it.

This was John's first time to see Ace since he was at our house and Ace totally remembered him. Went right up to him, happily said Hi John, shook hands and thanked him for coming to his show. They just started to talk like they were good friends. Asked him again if he wanted to sing with him... just like he did when he first met John at our house.

The VIP room had a pool table so John and Byron (Ace's keyboard player} played a game. John won which I thought was pretty cool! lol

There were about 15 of us in the VIP room and we were all Ace's fans. Even when he wasn't there it was fun to chat with everyone and take lots of pics!

Here is Erik {the drummer} Very nice guy! He gave me my first drumstick after the show! I was so excited. He signed it and then I had Ace sign it too!

The show was totally AWESOME! We were right up in the front leaning on the stage. I've said this before, but man... if you EVER get a chance to see Ace Young perform... do it! He is just so energetic and full of happiness! The more the crowd gets excited the more he does. It was so cool to be in touching distance of him while he was performing. The only problem was I did something I shouldn't have done. I'm not sure what came over me but... Ace kept reaching down and touching all of these girls hands, etc. I was so excited and he wasn't looking down at me so I took my fist and banged once on the top of his foot while he was singing! He looked down and and took my hand for a few seconds {I was happy then LOL}. Afterwards I felt bad that I did that...but really it was totally involuntary!! { alcohol might have had something to do with it too} LOL I did apologize later to him that I did that.

After the show I told John to come over and get in the Meet and Greet line with me. He didn't understand why he needed to stand in line when he had already Met & Greeted Ace earlier... men. So he just stood on the upper level above Ace and watched. I didn't know he was up there watching until I hugged Ace and when I opened my eyes there was John watching! Ace said, Where's John? I pointed behind him and Ace laughed and shook his hand again & Tim's.

His meet and greet lines always take a couple of hours because of the hugs, pictures and autographs...and everyone always has some story to tell him. So we all were waiting around and then finally made it back to the VIP room to wait for him. By this time it was 2am and John & Tim were having a hard time staying awake... John kept looking at his watch and giving me the eye.... but I kept telling him we weren't leaving until Ace did. So finally John went back out to the club, found Ace and told him to please come in and tell all of the women goodbye so we could leave because he had a tee time in the morning. Ace asked him if he was coming to the Sunday show and John said no, I'm golfing instead. Ace said, Smart man! So here comes John and Ace in the door for goodbyes. But that takes a lot of time.... so it was about 30 more minutes and we were headed back to Tim's for the night. Of course the guys went right to bed and Candace and I stayed up looking at all of the pictures we had taken that day. Between the two of us we were taking about 500 pics a day!
