Here is my review of the resort and the contact info if you are still interested.
The Good:
Most awesome room! Loved the room, very modern with jacuzzi tubs, walk in showers, lots of room, programable safe, flat screen TV, mini fridge that was stocked each day with pop & beer and of course the AWESOME patio and swim out steps!
Buffets! All of the buffets were great! There was always something fresh and tasty for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. I never had a problem finding something yummy to eat.
Drinks! Poolbar had GREAT strawberry daiquiri's. Just had to swim over from my room anytime from about 10am - 3pm for a drink. John enjoyed Mudslides, beer, tequilia and anything new he saw someone with.
Pool Activities! They had a group of guys (and sometimes a girl or two) who entertained us at the pool everyday. They were so cute and tried really
hard to get a lot of people involved.
The Bad:
Long walk to the restaurants by the lobby
Mosquito's
Not enough employees. Sometimes the service was very slow because of this.
Poolbar ran out of ice almost everyday between 3-4pm.
They had several specialty restaurants on the resort that you had to make reservations for. We tried to make our reservations on our first full day there and everything was booked up except at 9-10pm so we just booked the Seafood restaurant. What a waste of 3 hours!! The Seafood restaurant food was horrible. Service was very poor, we were there sitting at our table 1 hr before we even got a plate of bread/butter after I asked for it. It was 1.5 hrs before food started to come out. No one liked their food at any of the tables and so much was wasted. Our friend Paul ordered fish and this picture shows what he got. It was as hard as a rock. He said it was ready to be hung on the wall. Even the lady that sat next to us came over and picked it up and was hitting it on the plate. {I think she had a few too many drinks LOL }
Would we go back to this resort again? Probably not. However we will go back to other all inclusive resorts in Mexico!
So if you are still interested in going to this resort, here is the info:
If you want the swim out room like we had, you have to book a Junior Suite Deluxe with direct pool access. I think we paid $35 a day for this room upgrade and it was SO worth it! We were in the 200 building and I believe the 300's were also right there by the pool bar if you are interested in being by the music and day activities. It's a lot of fun at the activity pool, lots of sites to see! Can you believe one guy even had on a banana hammock? Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me however if you don't know what a banana hammock is... look at these pictures.
Here are few more pics of our vacation... hope you enjoyed all of them!
I've been doing more scrappin' lately so I'll be posting the layouts as I get them done.
